This website contains biographical details of people known to have lived in the City of Prospect, South Australia (1933 - ) or its predecessor the District Council of Prospect (1872 - 1933).

It also includes people connected to those parts of the District Council of Yatala South and District Council of Yatala  which were subsequently incorporated into the District Council of Prospect in 1872.

People with a strong connection to Prospect - even if they did not live there - are also included.

It does not contain information about people who went prospecting, either in Prospect or elsewhere.

​There is a separate link to men and women who served in one (or both) of the two world wars and who had a connection to Prospect. A majority of the World War One men and women attended Nailsworth Primary School while a majority of the World War Two men and women attended Prospect Primary School. More records will be added as they become available.
