The Heritage Survey of the City of Prospect was conducted in 1988 and

1989 by consultants Historical Consultants Pty Ltd.

The first twenty or so pages of this report provide an excellent summary of the historical development of the Prospect area.

Prospect Local History Group, with funding from the City of Prospect, has decided to publish this introductory part of the survey for the benefit of people interested in the development of the Prospect area.

The remainder of the survey, which is not included in this publication, examines individual properties. The full survey can be consulted in the Prospect Library or via the Department for Environment and Water’s website at http://bit.ly/Heritage Surveys.
